SUMMARY:
This role will provide technical and business support to help staff effectively use Misericordia’s software applications. The Specialist must understand both how the software works and how Misericordia's business processes work, enabling them to configure systems, troubleshoot user issues, extract and analyze data, and train staff on best practices. The Specialist focuses on understanding business needs first, then applying technology solutions to meet those needs.
This requires continuous learning as Misericordia implements new systems and business requirements evolve. Success in this role depends on deep knowledge of business processes across resident care, fundraising, retail operations, and administrative functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess a working knowledge and belief of Misericordia mission, philosophy, purpose, and scope of service. In addition, possess an awareness of all policies and procedures concerning residents, families, and personnel.
- Learn new tools and systems quickly. Configure, use, troubleshoot and pull data from these systems.
- Learn about Misericordia and its processes and operations to help support users and Misericordia.
- Support staff with training, operational support and troubleshooting to ensure staff can successfully use technology and these systems. Work with staff to understand their specific business needs and how best to support these needs within each tool.
- Work with vendors to resolve issues, implement new features and ensure successful operation of these systems.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all Departments. Provide end user support for the various applications. This includes troubleshooting end user software, connection and data issues.
- Work with business and technology teams to ensure systems are used with appropriate security considerations. Ensure that tools and systems are used appropriately for their function and the type of information stored / used within the system.
- Create documentation and training materials for systems to ensure that staff are successful with business applications.
- Additional support responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in technical field preferred
- Proficient with computer programs/software including Microsoft Office tools.
- Proficient with data presentation and creating reports and documentation.

- Mandated reporter as per State of Illinois Statutes
