Job Type: Contract, Hybrid, 40 hours per Week
Pay Range: $70/hr - $80/hr on W2
Role Overview: Agile Scrum master (Program Management) role supporting Next Gen Platforms built around Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Impala, HBase, Docker, Podman, Open Shift / Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.). The role involves full lifecycle management of applications within an agile development process, interacting with clients, development teams, vendors, and partners at the highest technical level.
Responsibilities- Work on complex, major, or highly visible tasks supporting multiple projects that require multi‑area expertise.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise in managing complex programs and project milestones while assisting the team with BAU/Ad‑hoc operational activities.
- Manage the platform backlog using agile methodologies (JIRAs, sprints, team meetings), overseeing projects/tasks involving upgrades, bug fixes, deployments, metrics/monitoring, platform automations, and maintaining action items from critical user engagement forums.
- Serve as liaison between client partners and vendors in coordination with other team members.
- Act as seasoned Scrum Master (PM) to manage complex suite of projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Deliver large projects with significant impact across multiple lines of business, including cross‑functional or inter‑departmental implications.
- Achieve results quickly in a fast‑paced organization, thriving in a high‑intensity environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Communicate clearly and navigate at all organizational levels.
- Provide executive reporting and presentation skills.
- Maintain high organization and critical thinking at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Familiar with various project management tools.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
- Experience working on Big Data Technologies such as Cloudera, Hadoop, Impala, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes.
- PMP and other Product Management certifications.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, including executive reporting.
- Capability to manage complex programs and deliver impactful results.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and managing agile teams.
