IT Support, Systems Engineer
Position Summary
Partner Technical Advisor – Channel Solutions Engineer is a technical sales role supporting Channel partners to accelerate product adoption and achieve customer outcomes. The role provides pre‑sales technical solutions alignment, enablement, and post‑sales support through presentations, product demos, and technical account planning.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key channel partners.
- Develop and manage technical enablement plans for aligned channel partners.
- Articulate the F5 sales strategy, messaging, and positioning F5 value proposition for customer business objectives.
- Provide solution design ideas aligned with customers’ desired business outcomes.
- Articulate technical and business value of F5 Solutions against competitors.
- Participate in the development and support of content such as presentations and use cases for customers and partners.
- Train partner sales and SEs to identify and qualify opportunities.
- Coordinate partner training activities with F5 sales teams.
- Participate and deliver partner workshops and other demand generation activities.
- Provide consistent training on F5 solutions and competitive differentiation.
- Offer consultative support and technical expertise as required.
- Collaborate with Channel and Sales management to qualify partner ability to sell F5 solutions.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of F5 products and related industry trends.
- Travel up to 50% for channel support activities.
- Understand the F5 critical issue process.
- Align partners with F5 Sales and Technical Support to resolve customer issues.
- 5+ years of related industry experience, 3+ years of pre‑sales experience preferred.
- Experience with network, security, and web technologies.
- Experience with CDW (partner, vendor, or customer‑facing).
- Strong knowledge of Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Git Hub/Git Lab, Artifactory, Sonar Qube, Docker, etc.
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Open Stack.
- Experience with container orchestration:
Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker Swarm. - Knowledge of application languages:
Python, Java, JavaScript. - Knowledge of OWASP principles and application security (preferred).
- BS/BA or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Annual base pay: $ – $. Additional incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits may be offered.
Work EnvironmentHybrid policy:
Employees within 30 miles of an F5 office are required to work from the office at least 30 business days per quarter. Remote arrangements are possible for designated home locations, with occasional onsite or offsite travel.
