Position: Identity and Productivity Services Manager (Senior Public Service Administrator, Option 3)

The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is seeking to hire qualified candidates for the Personal Information Management (PIM) Services Manager position. This highly professional role provides statewide strategic support and implementation of cutting‑edge cloud‑based technologies related to email and client administrative services. In this capacity, you will develop long‑term strategic planning activities for both teams, assist client agencies affected by new cloud‑based PIM applications, serve as a full‑line supervisor, assign and review work, provide guidance and training to assigned staff, prepare and sign performance evaluations, and monitor and approve employee time‑keeping requests.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the Identity and Productivity Services Manager for DoIT, planning, developing, organizing, controlling and managing the operations and delivery of enterprise email, Active Directory (AD), print management solutions, and Mobile Device Management (MDM), including the planning, design, and implementation of long‑term strategies to maintain secure, robust, and reliable services.
  • Develop, implement, and manage policies, procedures, and operational practices to verify and maintain the delivery of high‑quality, reliable, robust, and secure operations and services while adhering to DoIT and industry best practices, including monitoring and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of the Identity and Productivity systems and services.
  • Serve as a full‑line supervisor.
  • Develop and manage the Personal Information Management Services operational budget and procurements, including preparing the budget for PIM solutions and services such as forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in Information Technology in areas of responsibility by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on Information Technology products, vendors, techniques and procedures applicable to section activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications or directly related fields.
  • Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Information Technology or directly related fields.
  • Requires four (4) years of professional experience supervising and directing a team of IT professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of professional experience managing IT operations, services, or programs in a large complex public or business organization, including oversight of enterprise email, AD, MDM, or print management solutions.
