The Department of Innovation and Technology seeks a Software Asset Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of software assets for the state, managing portfolios of over 75,000 products, optimizing costs, and identifying savings opportunities. The role includes developing and implementing statewide software asset management policies, supervising IT staff, and serving as a full-line supervisor responsible for training and guidance.
Key qualifications:- Four years of college in management information systems, IT, or related field
- Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in IT organizations
- Three years of professional experience supervising IT teams in large, complex organizations
- Four years of experience designing or implementing enterprise software asset management policies
- Four years of experience with SAM tools for license tracking and compliance reporting
- Four years of experience negotiating complex software licensing agreements with major vendors
