Field Staff Auto Appraiser. Open to Atlanta, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Houston, West Texas, Denver. Location options include Buffalo NY;
Albany, NY; NM;

To handle field appraisal assignments for corporate fleets and insurance clients with an emphasis on autos.
Responsibilities- Set appointments the same day, inspect within 24 hours, and write car-side estimates.
- Write 6 to 10 estimates per day, depending on location.
- Ensure proper vehicle teardown and determine repair time allotments and required labor operations.
- Make accurate repair/replace decisions; assess and apply pre-existing damage; complete accurate total loss evaluations.
- Negotiate agreed price with shop decision maker and set time-bound completion dates per client guidelines.
- Review and assess the validity of all supplement requests; communicate repair costs and process to customers.
- Maintain accuracy of the vehicle's cost of repair estimate and explain the claims/repair process.
- Negotiate advanced fees for tow, teardown, and storage on vehicles that are a financial total loss.
- Provide extraordinary customer service to all parties involved in the claims process.
- Other duties as assigned by management or as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned; assist quality assurance when not in the field and be available for desk appraisal work.
- Education & Licensing — Bachelor's degree preferred (not required). Licenses as required; professional certifications as applicable. If licensing is required, 60 days to complete training and testing.
- Experience — Four (4) years of insurance or body shop experience required.
- Skills & Knowledge — Technical knowledge of auto appraisals, knowledge of client operations and labor regulations, excellent oral and written communication, PC literate (Microsoft Office), analytical and interpretive skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, good judgment and discretion, ability to manage multiple projects, team player, and CCC One experience.
- Must be able to pass state license for appraisal within 30 days of hire.
- Must have reliable transportation required for travel to assigned work locations.
- Must be able to work independently in a field appraisal role, managing your local territory and scheduling your day.
- Mental:
Clear thinking, good judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. - Physical:
Keyboarding and local travel. - Auditory/Visual:
Hearing, vision, and speaking ability.
Pay range is disclosed where required by law. For this role, the range noted in jurisdictions with pay transparency is $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
