AVP Claims, Financial Lines​/FI & Public D&O

• Lead the Public Company Management Liability and Financial Institutions Claims team
• Implement strategic objectives and ensure effective and efficient claims services
• Manage and develop more than 25 claims professionals, including technical and leadership skills, engagement, and succession planning
• Drive superior customer experience and continuous improvement through claims, human capital, process, and technology initiatives
• Develop and implement claims handling protocols, business strategies, and key priorities with senior leadership
• Evaluate performance against goals and hold the team accountable for results
• Apply data analytics to manage operations and identify efficiency and effectiveness opportunities
• Manage expenses, productivity, external resources, technology, and organizational performance
• Maintain collaborative relationships with Operations, Underwriting, Actuary, Risk Control, brokers, clients, and other business partners
• Share claims outcomes, trends, legal developments, and business updates
• Develop and execute communication plans and present executive-level operational summaries to senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with state and territory regulations and protect company assets and reputation
• Lead or participate in special projects and represent the company at industry events
• Report to the SVP, Financial Lines Claims

• Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience;
  Master’s or J.D. preferred
• Minimum ten years of related work experience
• Minimum five years of management experience
• Experience managing leaders of claims teams
• Demonstrated expertise in directly handling or managing teams handling public company management liability and securities class action claims
• In-depth technical expertise in the line of business
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices, and procedures
• Working knowledge of finance and accounting functions
• Ability to use data analytics to make informed business decisions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
• Applicable certifications or professional designations preferred
• Leadership, integrity, professionalism, talent management, communication, and collaboration skills

Demonstrates strong leadership and management capabilities in overseeing claims teams, with a focus on public company management liability and securities class action claims. Utilizes data analytics and business acumen to drive operational efficiency, compliance, and superior customer experience.
