Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in Batestown, IL Area

Minimum 1+ years interpreter experience required.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled School-Based Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. In this role, you will support deaf or hard-of-hearing students by facilitating effective communication and ensuring they can fully engage in their educational activities.

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
• Support students in the classroom and during school-related activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to meet student needs.
• Assist in preparing educational materials.
• Uphold confidentiality and follow ethical standards.

• Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (RID/NAD or equivalent).
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
