Job Description:

A top-tier law firm is seeking a full-time Real Estate Paralegal to join its Chicago office, supporting a national Real Estate Practice Group. This position will report to the Practice Group Leader and work under the daily supervision of assigned attorneys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and coordinate due diligence including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing real estate conveyance and closing documents.
• Manage real estate closings (acquisitions, dispositions, financings) including checklist management, document execution, and post-closing assembly of closing books.
• Prepare and file UCC financing statements; review UCC/lien/litigation searches.
• Assist in entity formation and compliance filings.
• Assemble and review officer’s certificates, resolutions, organizational documents, etc.
• Conduct legal research and reporting as needed.
• Interface with clients and third parties regarding transactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with Paralegal certification.
• 5–7 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in a law firm, legal department, or title company.
• Proficient in title and survey review.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, PDF tools, DMS, and timekeeping software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Discretion with sensitive information is essential.
