Under close supervision, secures and analyzes quotations and negotiates prices and terms with U.S. and international suppliers, subject to management approval, for the purchase of fixed assets, parts, tooling, materials, and/or services. Develops and recommends sources of supply. Expedites the procurement of parts and/or materials in short or critical supply. Coordinates quality matters, engineering, and price changes between company components and suppliers.
Develops and implements long-term sourcing strategies. Average annual dollar buy: $25 to $100 million. Learning role with 1 to 2 years of experience.

** Position Overview
** The Receiving / Central Stores Clerk is responsible for supporting daily receiving, inventory control, and material distribution activities at the Sauget facility. This role ensures materials and parts are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered to internal customers, primarily supporting maintenance and operations.
** Key Responsibilities
** Receiving and Inventory Receive incoming materials against purchase orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX. Verify deliveries for accuracy and completeness and collect required documentation from drivers. Coordinate forklift unloading of trucks as needed. Put parts away in designated storage locations and maintain organized inventory. Monitor stock levels and notify Purchasing when items need to be reordered. Enter purchasing requisitions and email vendors for quotes.
Occasionally create and enter new part numbers into Microsoft Dynamics AX.
** Internal Coordination
** Notify internal customers when ordered parts arrive and deliver materials as required. Work closely with Maintenance and other departments to ensure timely access to parts.
** Physical and Operational Requirements
** Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying heavy items, climbing stairs, and operating a golf cart. Be present on the last day of the month and the first day of the month unless those days fall on a weekend.
** Other Duties as Assigned
** Support additional receiving and storeroom activities as needed.
** Qualifications
* * High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to walk up and down stairs while carrying heavy items. Prior experience in receiving, inventory, warehouse, or storeroom operations preferred.
