Job Duties
We seek a consulting staff member who supports all aspects of the management consulting practice and growth opportunities. The person in this position will work at the direction of the management consulting principal and consulting managers, but the person will also be responsible for managing portions of projects or eventually facilitating client meetings. Travel varies but may range between 10% to 30% during some but not all months.
We seek a person who is self‑motivated, brings a positive presence to a small consulting team, appreciates a professional work environment, and pursues professional development.
In general, this position requires proficiency in the following skillsets:
- Interpret and summarize government regulations to ensure compliance for entities responsible for implementing programs funded by government grants
- Give careful consideration of all sides of an issue to clearly communicate information
- Help prepare material and final deliverables for clients, including:
- Organizational assessments and reports
- Presentations and webinars
- Stakeholder engagement surveys and summary results
- Policies and procedures
- Internal and external communications
- Meeting summaries
- Communicate directly with clients, understanding various audiences
- Make presentations to clients with clarity and purpose
- Support internal project management using software
- Contribute to the culture of the management consulting team and of KEB
- Champion your own professional development by identifying skills and opportunities that will help you grow and support the future of the management consulting practice
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
- Three years of professional work experience preferred
- Experience in government units and/or nonprofit organizations preferred
- Willingness to travel, occasionally spending multiple days on site
- Desire and capacity to work collaboratively with a team
- Desire and capacity to work autonomously
- Diligent, accountable and strong time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Organized, precise and accurate
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point
- Proficiency and confidence in presenting public webinars
