Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, management and strategic direction with a focus on delivering an exceptional client service experience and fostering an environment where associates can learn and grow while driving financial success through growth and sound fiscal decision‑making
- Translate firm vision and strategy into an actionable business plan, set specific objectives, and monitor progress
- Partner with marketing to develop sales and marketing plans, explore expansion of services within existing client accounts, pursue new clients, and actively participate in proposals
- Coordinate firm resources to ensure the best products and services are delivered to clients
- Provide team members with meaningful training and development opportunities, appropriate challenges, timely feedback, and positive recognition of their efforts
- Oversee the profitability of the practice, including effective personnel utilization, appropriate service rates, and timely fee collection
- Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within their business systems, ensuring technology risks are properly addressed
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct client interaction while working on multiple engagement aspects
- Think independently and strategically about clients’ businesses, systems, and risks, providing recommendations for business and process improvements based on knowledge gained relative to the client’s objectives
- Provide strategic business advice by assisting in the implementation of new processes and controls that address key risks
- Assess, manage, and optimize business risk across a wide range of areas, including operational audit, enterprise risk management (ERM), and SOX compliance
- Review clients’ processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify gaps in design and execution, and communicate issues and recommendations
- Be responsible for significant new business development, including identifying, sourcing, pursuing, and winning risk advisory opportunities
- Produce comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to clients, documenting and reviewing engagement work papers in accordance with industry‑accepted internal audit methodologies
- Act as a valued business advisor, build relationships, and communicate effectively with clients to provide superior client service
- Lead professional and effective presentations to internal and external audiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field
- CPA or CIA designation(s) required
- Ten (10)+ years of experience in risk advisory, internal/external audit, business process reengineering, and/or internal controls, with preferred experience in technology, real estate, life sciences, financial services, or health systems
- Five (5)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
- Successful track record of building and growing a Risk Advisory practice, including team, client base, and revenue management
- Proven record of new business development
- Ability to lead and supervise others, deliver exceptional client service, and maintain commitment to continuous learning and ethical standards; visible sense of urgency and quality in project completion
- Ability to travel as needed for client engagements
The compensation range for this role is $201,810 to $382,600. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
