We are now recruiting an Assoc. Director, Digital Manufacturing Solutions & Strategies to join our diverse Global Digital Strategy team in Ireland, Germany and/or the US.

Reporting directly to the Director, Network Digital Strategy, you will lead the development of Abb Vie manufacturing sites digital strategies that support business goals across the manufacturing network. Your role will have an impact and influence other sites with varying manufacturing modalities.

You will also provide leadership to develop enterprise technology strategies including the rollout of new solutions to support business goals for Abb Vie’s manufacturing network and may also have impact and influence over more than one technology and/or business domain.

Your main objectives, which are defined in collaboration with senior domain leadership and Network Digital Strategy Director with results assessed from a 2-3 year perspective, are to:

• build a collaborative partnership with technology, site and functional domain senior leadership.
• develop and guide delivery of comprehensive technology solutions that address prioritized business problems and innovation needs.

• Strategy & Influence:
  Work with multiple sites to make significant contributions to development of their strategy. Develops, adapts and executes strategies to achieve key objectives.
• Process Improvement & Optimization:
  Makes significant contributions to identifying overall process and/or technology improvements.
• Make decisions that have an effect on financial, employee and/or public relations posture of Abbvie.
• Liaison & Relationship Building:
  Builds collaborative relationships and effectively interacts frequently with business and/or technology senior leadership and vice presidents. Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
• Culture:
  Consistently demonstrate Abb Vie's Ways of Working and Leadership.
• Attributes including an enterprise mindset and people leadership. Understand and execute Abb Vie's vision, goals and strategies. This role has accountability for the performance and results of strategically important projects and programs.
• Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Collaboration with key stakeholders of a sites Digital Strategy which include Global BTS, Factory of the Future, Lab of the Future, Regional Directors and any other relevant party.
• Guidance and leadership of site and/or network Digital Transformation activities ensuring the adoption and nurture a culture of continuous improvement is demonstrated in both of business processes and personnel development.
• People Management:
  May be required to manage a team of direct employees or contractors within multiple business and/or technology domains.
• Resource Management:
  Responsible for making significant contributions to the development resource management strategy and organizational structure of multiple business and/or technology domain.
• Impact:
  Make decisions that have an effect on financial, employee and/or public relations posture of Abbvie.

• Bachelors Degree in an appropriate Science, Engineering or Business Discipline is required. Masters degree in relevant industry discipline preferred.
