Key Responsibilities
- Training and Development – Develops and delivers training programs for employees at all levels to mitigate loss and enhance inventory accuracy.
- Asset Protection and Operational Control – Implement, audit, and evaluate AP/LP and operational controls, making continuous improvements based on findings.
- Safety Oversight – Conduct safety audits and actively promote safety adherence.
- Investigations – Conduct formal loss interviews both in person and via telephone.
- Strategic Partnerships
- External Business Partnerships – Collaborates with law enforcement, court personnel, and mall management to resolve issues.
- Internal Business Partnerships – Builds effective partnerships and collaborates cross‑functionally across the field with various teams, including the Corporate office, to achieve company goals for shrink reduction and operational excellence.
- Shrink Management – Administers company‑authorized shrink and margin erosion mitigation programs and provides recommendations for ongoing program development.
- Data Analysis – Uses data to identify fraud and determine areas for process improvement.
- Team Contribution – Assume additional responsibilities and manage projects as required to facilitate the achievement of the overall team objectives.
Education and Experience
Required Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent experience and/or training. Interviewing/investigation courses or certifications are desirable. Internal JD Finish Line experience strongly preferred.
Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office and/or Google products.
QualificationsA valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Physical DemandsPhysical demands include sitting for up to 6 hours per shift, standing up to 8 hours, walking or moving between locations, occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, lifting or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with company policies are required. Average work week is 40–50 hours, varying with business needs.
Work environment is a moderately noisy mall/store setting. Travel by air or land 3–5 days per week may be required.
Pay range: $73,000–$76,000 per year. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), sick leave, parental leave, and company paid time off plan.
