A well-established Chicago-based General Contractor / Construction Manager is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of ground-up, multifamily, adaptive reuse, and major renovation projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected builder known for delivering complex projects with a strong focus on client service, collaboration, and quality execution.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall project success, including client satisfaction, financial oversight, schedule management, risk mitigation, team leadership, and mentorship of junior staff.

• Lead projects from preconstruction through close-out.
• Participate in budgeting, estimating, logistics planning, and bid strategy.
• Negotiate subcontractor scopes and manage subcontract execution.
• Oversee change orders, pay applications, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with ownership, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
• Drive value engineering efforts and improve project efficiency.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.

• 8+ years of project management experience in commercial construction.
• Strong experience with ground-up multifamily, adaptive reuse, and major renovation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong financial, scheduling, and operational management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities.
• Experience with BIM / Revit preferred.
