Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize program management processes, tools, timelines and workflow across various UX Studios in Wealth Management
- Maintain a backlog of projects and keep open communication with UX leads and managers to ensure that work is appropriately allocated. Ensure that all projects are tracked and accounted for in project management tools
- Create alignment across UX design activities by developing standardized approaches for work intake and maintenance
- Partner closely with the Design Systems team and Research to ensure tracking of components used, and research needs for each UX effort
- Define templates and resources for team in Figma
- Develop and lead team health initiatives and programs to support team morale and growth
- Collect project and staffing needs from Product Partners and Stakeholders at year end to build out a roadmap of work for the following year
- Manage change for Program Management processes as the organization continues to evolve across the UX&R organization
- Partner closely with the Design Program Management team on Operations projects separate from day‑to‑day program management work
- Work to remove roadblocks through creative solutions by maintaining a communication pipeline with all involved stakeholders, help streamline processes and provide inputs into the big picture of the UX Team's staffing, resourcing, and impact
- Bachelor’s degree
- Up to 5 years’ experience as a key member of a design team or front‑end development team and/or 5+ years as a Program Manager, Operations Manager, or Resource Manager with proven results in leadership and cross‑functional collaboration
- Strong understanding of UX Design and ability to advocate for UXR to technical teams
- Deep knowledge of how design, research, and operations teams work and their role within tech projects
- Experience working in financial services or comparable industries, managing complex projects with multiple inputs and phases
- Established deep relationships and ability to influence multi‑disciplinary teams and stakeholders across the organization
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to break down complex projects into tangible phases/pieces of work
- Demonstrable management experience partnering and building bridges with stakeholders, teams, and agencies
- Natural leadership and collaboration, ability to bring organization to high‑complexity workflows on moving, changing teams
- Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable with a changing landscape of work, resources, processes, and tools
NY – Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
IL – Salary range for the position: $85,000 to $140,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award and to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
