The Granular Technician I supports the safe and efficient operation of granular processing equipment by performing routine production tasks, basic equipment checks, and housekeeping activities. This entry‑level role focuses on learning granular production processes, following standard operating procedures, and supporting production and maintenance teams to ensure consistent product quality and throughput.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate granular processing equipment under supervision in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor basic process parameters and report abnormalities to the supervisor or lead technician.
- Perform routine start‑up, shutdown, and changeover tasks as trained.
- Assist with loading raw materials and staging finished product.
- Conduct basic visual quality checks and report non‑conforming product.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout rules.
- Assist maintenance and senior technicians during repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Accurately complete production and equipment logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math and documentation skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to train on granular processing equipment and systems.
