Overview
The Wargaming and Table Top Exercise (TTX) Specialist supports wargames, TTXs, and experimentation activities for the USTRANSCOM J/4/5/7 Strategic Plans, Policy, Logistics, and War‑Fighting Development Directorate at Scott AFB, IL. This is an onsite position and cannot be worked remotely.
ResponsibilitiesThis position will support the administration, designing, developing, coordinating, and executing wargames, TTXs, and related experimentation activities at the combatant command level. This includes developing a wargame event and concept plan, defining purpose, vision, goals and objectives, design of scenarios, development of mechanics for play, development of tools for resolution of in‑game actions, and conducting after‑action activities including reports and analysis.
Qualifications- Experience and background in Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Strategy, Governance, and Project Leadership
- Understanding of wargame design and professional wargaming; wargame certification (desired)
- Three years of senior staff level experience (JS, Service Headquarters, Major Command, Agency, and/or CCMD level experience)
- Masters with 4 years of experience;
Bachelors with 6 years of experience - Understanding of USTRANSCOM issues and priorities
- Experience with and understanding of DoW Joint Planning and Operations or Joint Force Development and Design
- Strong analytic ability, presentation development, and communications skills
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (preferred). Ability to obtain TS/SCI (required)
Target salary range: $85,000 - $115,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
