Forklift Operator - START ASAP! Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to manage and operate forklifts efficiently in our production and packing environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations by handling inventory, packing, and shrink wrapping as part of the team.
Responsibilities- Operate sit down forklifts to move materials and inventory within the facility.
- Handle inventory management including loading and unloading goods.
- Perform shrink wrapping and packing tasks to prepare items for shipping and receiving.
- Engage in palletizing and material handling activities.
- Assist in order picking and production processes as needed.
- Proven experience in forklift operation, particularly with sit down forklifts.
- Strong skills in picking, packing, and palletizing.
- Proficiency in handling shipping and receiving tasks.
- Ability to manage inventory and perform shrink wrapping effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a pack room environment.
- Familiarity with color mixing processes for concrete production.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves operating in a pack room where materials like iron oxide, resembling baby powder, can create a dusty atmosphere. You will be part of a team dedicated to creating color mixes for concrete, contributing to a fast-paced and hands‑on production setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Springfield, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
