This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Sewing Machine Operator role based in the Greater Chicago Area. The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will set up, operate, and maintain industrial sewing machines to produce custom sewn products, soft-goods cases, and components for bespoke packaging. Daily responsibilities include reading and following work orders or technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials and threads, and sewing pieces to meet quality and production standards.

The role involves inspecting finished items for accuracy and defects, performing basic troubleshooting and adjustments on machines, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to prioritize workflow. The operator will also help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines, including setup, threading, tension adjustment, and basic maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders, patterns, and simple technical drawings or templates.
• Strong attention to detail, including accurate measuring, cutting, alignment, and quality inspection of sewn products.
• Good hand–eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to work with a variety of fabrics, soft goods, and materials.
• Experience meeting production targets while maintaining consistent quality standards in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of tools, machines, and personal protective equipment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, designers, and fellow production team members.
• Previous experience as an industrial sewing machine operator or in a sewing/soft-goods production setting is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and machinery as the company introduces new products or processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical training in sewing, textiles, or related fields is a plus.
