5 Axis CNC Bridge Saw Operator

Job Description

Operate, set up, and maintain a 5‑axis CNC bridge saw to cut and finish stone(granite, marble, quartz) and large‑format materials to specification; ensure accuracy, quality, and safety on a fast‑paced fabrication production floor.

Set up and operate the 5‑axis CNC bridge saw (fixtures, tooling, probes, offsets).

Load and secure slabs/stock safely; select and install blades/tools and cutting parameters.

Read prints, templates, a nd CAD/CAM outputs; verify dimensions and tolerances.

Execute part programs; make minor program edits and offsets at the machine when needed.

Perform first‑piece inspections and in‑process quality checks (measuring, squaring, edge profiles).

Maintain cutting schedules, job logs, and material tracking in the shop system.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the saw; report issues and coordinate repairs.

Follow shop safety rules and PPE; participate in continuous improvement and training activities.

Train or mentor junior operators when required.
