Job OverviewUnder the direction of the Vice President, Communications, the Manager, Communications is responsible for developing and executing digital communications strategies that expand the reach, effectiveness, and impact of ACGME communications. This role serves as the organization’s lead for digital distribution and engagement, reflecting the increasing importance of targeted, data‑informed communication with diverse stakeholder audiences. The Manager, Communications oversees the ACGME’s email communications program, manages digital audience segmentation and list governance, supports digital advertising and campaign promotion, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure messages reach the right audiences through the most effective digital channels.
The role also monitors performance metrics and provides insights that inform strategy and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Vice President, Director, Communications, and other members of the Communications team, the Manager, Communications ensures that digital communications align with organizational priorities, brand standards, and stakeholder needs while supporting innovation in digital engagement tools and practices.
- Manages the ACGME’s digital communications program, including email marketing, digital campaigns, and audience engagement across online platforms.
- Oversees the organization’s e‑Communication program, including the weekly e‑Communication and targeted email communications to specific stakeholder audiences.
- Maintains and governs email distribution lists and segmentation strategies, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with applicable communication and CAN SPAM standards, and effective audience targeting.
- Collaborates with communications colleagues and subject matter experts on ACGME teams to plan and execute digital campaigns supporting organizational initiatives, programs, and events.
- Coordinates digital advertising campaigns across relevant platforms (e.g., Linked In, Instagram, etc.), including campaign setup, targeting, budget coordination, and performance monitoring.
- Evaluates and responsibly applies emerging digital tools and technologies—including organization‑approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools—to improve communications effectiveness while protecting brand integrity and data security.
- Tracks and analyzes key digital performance metrics—including email engagement, campaign reach, and audience growth—and prepares reports and insights that inform communications strategy.
- Coordinates with the Web Team and content owners to support effective digital presentation and distribution of communications on the ACGME website.
- Works collaboratively with the Brand and Visual Communications Specialist and other members of the Communications team to ensure that digital content aligns with ACGME brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Advises stakeholders on digital engagement strategies, audience targeting, and emerging best practices in digital communications.
- Develops documentation, workflows, and guidance related to digital communications processes, including email communications governance, campaign planning, and digital engagement practices.
- Provides training and consultation to staff as needed regarding digital communications tools, platforms, and best practices.
