Youth Pastor (Volunteer / Unpaid)
First Church of Christ (FCOC) – Georgetown, Illinois has Help Shape the Next Generation in a Church Experiencing New Life. First Church of Christ (FCOC) in Georgetown, Illinois is seeking a passionate, relational, and mission-minded Youth Pastor to help lead and disciple students during an exciting season of growth and momentum.
Over the last 6 months, God has been moving in incredible ways at FCOC:
- Average attendance has increased by over 100%.
- We’ve celebrated 7 baptisms.
- New discipleship classes are helping people grow in their faith and get involved.
- Our youth ministry has grown from just 5 students to consistently seeing 25–30 students each gathering.
This is more than a volunteer position — it’s a rare opportunity to step into a thriving ministry environment with tremendous community support and kingdom potential.
Why This Opportunity Is UniqueFor more than 100 years, FCOC has been a trusted and established presence in the Georgetown community. Today, we are seeing renewed energy, vision, and excitement as families and students are finding hope and connection through Jesus.
One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the opportunity to partner directly with local school leadership. FCOC has built strong relationships with area school principals, creating open doors to connect with students where they are and become a positive influence in their everyday lives.
We are also in the beginning stages of launching a new Wednesday after‑school program designed to reach students in a deeper way and build healthy, meaningful relationships throughout our community. This program will create opportunities for mentorship, encouragement, discipleship, and connection with students who may never otherwise walk through the doors of a church.
For the right leader, this means the opportunity to help shape and build something from the ground up during a pivotal season of growth and outreach.
If you have a heart for students, discipleship, outreach, and building authentic relationships, this is an incredible place to serve.
