American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois.

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital
• Day shifts available in either 3x12 or 4x12 hour formats (6:45am-7:15pm)
• Patient ratios up to 1:7 if needed, though not common
• Every other weekend required; additional weekend may be assigned to accommodate requested time off
• Float as needed within scope to meet unit needs
• No on‑call required
• Hospital uses Cerner for charting;
  Cerner experience preferred
• Open to local candidates with no radius restriction
• Level I trauma center and Magnet‑designated facility
• Solid color scrubs required
• Parking permit required; provided at no cost during orientation
• First‑time travelers accepted
• Manager reviews and decides on time‑off requests; only one winter holiday off may be requested

• Active IL RN license in hand required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs required
• Must be willing to care for tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients (experience not required, willingness to learn necessary)
