- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg), Travel RN / Travel Nurse
- Location: Springfield, IL 62769 (Central Illinois, Sangamon County)
- Setting: On-site, Medical Unit 4 (Medical-Surgical unit)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (03/16/2026 – 06/14/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC); every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours (option for 4×12 hr shifts)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 – $2,080
- Openings: 1 Travel RN position
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) RN experience required
- License: Active Illinois RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS required
- Assessment: Must pass a dysrhythmia exam (maximum 2 attempts)
- Scheduling: All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Medical-Surgical unit as a Med/Surg RN
- Perform patient monitoring, assessments, and thorough documentation of conditions and progress
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians, RN colleagues, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and self-care strategies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment for patients and staff
