Nov 8, 2024 - The Advanced Practice Nurse assesses, plans, and delivers comprehensive psychiatric care to patients and their families, ensuring a holistic approach. This role encompasses ordering and performing diagnostic tests, making critical healthcare decisions, and developing patient management policies that uphold quality and efficiency. In collaboration with healthcare teams and specialists, the nurse facilitates seamless patient care transitions, from initial assessments to post-procedure support.

Job Summary:

• Perform and document history and physical exams on outpatients for interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform and document inpatient and outpatient consultations on IR and vascular patients.
• Provide post procedure care and orders for the patients in the interventional radiology department.
• Provide critical care experiences both within MSICU and CVICU.
• Collaborates with the Infection Control team- collects data, reviews all CLABSI, CAUTI, VAE and presents findings to the team.
• Holds Interdisciplinary rounds once a week.
• Participates in Joint Commission preparedness as applicable.
• Participates as Critical Care Council member or Co-chair.
• Advances evidence-based projects as a member of that council as well as projects from the UBT, Critical Care Council.
• Involved in Magnet writing, presentation, ongoing preparedness.
• Participates in Leadership Council, Steering Committee.
• Active participant and driver of the goal reaching of Beacon Designation.
