Interventional Radiology RN - Registered Nurse (Day Shift)

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5x8s) | On-call required | Floating required

Pay: $45-$55/hr

Now hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) for a hospital-based Medical Imaging team in Springfield, IL. This Interventional Radiology Nurse position supports IR procedures and provides high-quality pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care. Ideal for an IR Registered Nurse who is flexible, calm under pressure, and comfortable with call and floating.

• Provide direct nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients in a procedural setting
• Complete pre-procedure assessments, patient prep, IV/medications per orders, and patient education
• Monitor patients during and after procedures; recognize complications and elevate appropriately
• Assist physicians/techs during IR cases while maintaining safety and sterile precautions
• Support recovery, discharge readiness, and post-procedure instructions
• Document accurately in Cerner (assessments, interventions, outcomes)
• Float to other areas as assigned and participate in required on-call rotation
• Follow facility policies for safety, infection prevention, and quality standards

• Active Illinois RN license (required)
• Current RN credentials (required)
• Recent Interventional Radiology RN / IR Nurse experience (required)
• Able to meet on-call and floating requirements (required)
• Cerner charting experience (preferred)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
