- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Nursing Diploma
- RN Inpatient >2 years experience
- Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards.
- Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
- Modify plan of care based upon continuous evaluation.
- Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate with others directly and in private to resolve issues.
- Offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confer with colleagues to expand knowledge base.
- Identify own learning needs and take initiative to find appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
- Float to various inpatient units including Medical‑Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable).
- Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training, as needed.
- Provide direct nursing care, collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care to various patient populations.
- Conduct and document assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Precept staff from various units as needed.
- Coordinate care to multidisciplinary team members to facilitate and provide the highest possible quality patient care.
The compensation range for this position is $35.22 per hour – $60.58 per hour.
