Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring PICC line management experience and an active IL RN license.

Job Details

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:08), with the option to discuss a 4x12 block schedule with the manager,

• Located in a 562-bed acute care hospital that is both a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility,

• CVICU unit caring for cardiovascular ICU patients,

• Every third weekend required,

• Floating within scope is required for all travelers, including to affiliate hospitals nearby,

• Charting is performed in Cerner (experience preferred),

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will be considered,

• Current BLS and ACLS required; AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted - RQI AHA cards are not accepted,

• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant RN experience required,

• PICC line management experience required,

• Experience starting IVs required,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred,

• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction,

• Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler,

• Travel pairs are not accepted,

• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays,

• RTO of up to 5 days (non-holiday) is generally accommodable; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,

• Parking is available at no cost via a permit obtained during orientation,

• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable
