Position: Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Springfield, IL

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN licensure in good standing
• Proven experience in a CVICU or comparable critical care environment
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical knowledge of cardiovascular patient needs, recovery, and treatment protocols
• Exceptional assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract opportunity; specific scheduling details provided during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, expert care to critically ill patients with complex cardiac and vascular conditions
• Monitor vital signs and response to interventions, adjusting care plans as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practitioners, and allied health professionals
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac drips safely and accurately
• Educate patients and their families on treatments, procedures, and post-ICU care
• Adhere strictly to all infection control precautions and safety standards
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation in clinical records
