Job Summary The organization is seeking a Pre/Post Operative Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing care for patients in a pre-operative setting, preparing them for surgery and assisting with post-operative recovery. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois licensure on the first day of the assignment. Job Details
Shift: 5x8 Days, , with a total of 8 hours per shift
Schedule:
Days, 40 hours per week minimum
Certifications:
ACLS and BLS required; must have active Illinois license in hand at submission
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience required, including relevant pre-operative and post-operative care; 2 years of charge experience preferred Specific skills and procedures include ambulatory operating room procedures, ankle fusion, anterior cervical fusion, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, bunionectomy, carpal tunnel release, closed reduction of fractures, surgical code response, use of electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, infection control, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, malignant hyperthermia management, metatarsal surgery, open reduction of fractures, orthopedics/spine, radiation safety, scrub procedures for arthroscopic, orthopedic, and podiatry surgeries, specimen handling, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, and adherence to universal protocols.
Additional information:
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Candidates must have at least 18 months of unit-specific experience unless otherwise specified. Requirements include submission of two to three interview availability times, SSN, DOB, certifications as specified, and eligibility to work in Illinois. Candidates must work at least two out of three major holidays. All travelers must complete necessary compliance modules, background checks, lab appointments, Docusign agreements, and badge photo updates within one week of signing the contract.
