As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Responsibilities- Deliver individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures and specialized radiology procedures, including prep and recovery.
- Perform specialized cardiac tests on adult and pediatric patients.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Record patients' medical information and vital signs and any other patient care.
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience required, or 2 years in ICU or ED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
