This position is for a Cath Lab Registered Nurse. The schedule is 3 shifts of 12 hours each, working days. The unit has an average daily census of 25 patients and consists of five rooms. Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. The nurse will be expected to work 2-3 weekends per contract.
On-call duty is required as needed. Candidates may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Open communication regarding block scheduling is encouraged. Candidates must have an active nursing license in hand to apply. Requests for time off should ideally not exceed 5 days. The client may cancel up to 36 hours during a thirteen-week assignment without compensation for the canceled hours.
Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience is a specific requirement for this role. Candidates must also have experience in various cardiac procedures and medication administration related to procedural sedation. The facility is an acute care hospital and a Level I trauma center. The hospital maintains a Magnet status and has a total of 562 staffed beds. The unit provides interdisciplinary support and handles adult and geriatric patient populations.
