An experienced Med/Surg RN is required to provide patient care in a 562‑bed acute‑care hospital that is a Magnet and Level I trauma center. The assignment requires working a rotating 3x12 or 4x12 days schedule, with the possibility of 1:7 patient ratios. Candidates must be willing to care for trach and laryngectomy patients and perform PICC line management and IV placement.

Cerner charting experience is preferred.

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, and intravenous lines, including insertion and maintenance.
• Perform tracheostomy and laryngectomy patient care.
• Apply and change dressing, drain, and wound vac as needed.
• Assist with nasogastric tube insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Conduct routine assessments, charting, and communication with interdisciplinary team.
• Float within the unit or affiliated hospitals to meet staffing needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including infection control and safety protocols.

• Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois (active license required).
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in Cerner EHR preferred.
• Experience with blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, PCA, and wound care.
• Capability to manage up to a 1:7 patient ratio.

• Must have IL license in hand at application.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and accommodate block scheduling is not required.
• Optional on‑call: not required.
• Travelers will float within scope and may be assigned to affiliated facilities.
