Director of Nursing (DON) – Springfield, IL

PLEASE NOTE:

THERE IS A DEPTH OF RNs IN the building, WITH SOLID SUPPORT AND ONGOING QUARTERLY BONUS

We are looking for a solid Director of Nursing for a small nursing home just outside of Springfield IL that is part of a company known for its positive culture and employee retention.

Compensation for this position is very competitive
, and there is a very attainable, generous Quarterly Bonus Incentive Program. The Administrator is well-respected in the community, and corporate support for the facility is strong.

The successful candidate will present with solid clinical skills, the ability to positively lead and mentor staff, and expertise in solving complex patient‑care needs within a skilled nursing environment.

We will help you understand the culture of the company, and get you introduced to the people who are looking for you. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and perform supervisory duties for Nursing Department
  • Develop and implement resident care services
  • Maintain state and federal regulatory compliance
  • Provide specialized training for staff as needed
  • Proactively respond to survey and/or standard of care issues
  • Provide adequate staffing at all times based on facility and census requirements

Qualifications

  • Prior SNF Nurse management experience; ADONs encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead department through the survey process
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) with a valid state RN license and CPR certification
