RN - PCU

Registered Nurse

This position is for an IMC/stepdown/PCU RN. The shift is 3x12 days from 06:45 to 19:15. The typical patient ratio is 1:4. This is a fast-paced unit with a high volume of patient throughput. Nurses will float as needed within their scope to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts will be required, working every other weekend. Candidates must not have more than 5 days of requested time off.

Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Level I trauma experience is preferred. The hospital is a Magnet designated facility and a level I trauma center. Nurses are expected to provide care for patients of all diagnoses. The unit has interdisciplinary support from various services, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Nurses must have the ability to take care of patients with tracheostomies and ventilators.
