Overview
The Emergency Trauma Center is a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center that serves a diverse regional population in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. It offers 70 exam and treatment areas, 11 pediatric beds, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, and specialty behavioral health resources. The center also supports a full‑time, hands‑on Emergency Trauma Center Nursing Fellowship.
ResponsibilitiesPerform direct patient care for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort, working consistently within the scope of nursing practice, state law, and Mercy values.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of a state‑approved School of Nursing.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a current Missouri temporary work permit.
- Experience: Hospital‑based experience required; one year in an Emergency Department preferred.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider card (or completion within probation).
- ACLS card (or completion within six months of hire).
- PALS, ENPC, or TNCC cards (or completion within one year of hire).
- Day‑one comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.
