Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Nurses work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am rotations weekends/holidays.

• New Grad: $2,000 Sign On Bonus - night shift only
• 1-2 years LPN experience:
  Sign On Bonus $5,000 - night shift only
• 3-4 years LPN experience:
  Sign On Bonus $7,000 - night shift only
• 5+ years LPN experience:
  Sign On Bonus $10,000 - night shift only
• Tuition Reimbursement $2,000 per year, $30k in initial RN degree assistance
• $3,000 Relocation Assistance for full time only
• Weekend Differential and Weekend Option Days/Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential (plus straight night shift differential for nights)
• New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $8.00 LPN

Education:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

Licensure:
Personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Experience:

New or experienced LPN.

Certifications:

• LPN‑IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire.
• All nurses are ACLS certified.

4A Cardiac Unit focuses on CHF, chest pain, drug load, pre‑CABG, pre‑TAVR, angio with stents, BKS, AKA, and med/surg overflow patients.

Clinical skills include:

• Telemetry Monitoring
• Pacemaker/ICA Care
• Post angio Care
• TR Band
• Main Medication Drips
