Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.00 (actual pay will be based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.)
OverviewRegistered Nurses (RNs) in the Critical Care setting are an essential part of the medical team, caring for the sickest and most vulnerable patients. RNs provide high‑quality medical care and a compassionate presence to patients and families during times of joy, stress, and uncertainty.
Location & SchedulingDepartment: Cardiac Cath Lab
Core Function: Nursing
Schedule: Full‑Time, 36 hours/week, Days (shift hours vary depending on area within the Cath Lab)
Facility: St. John’s Hospital
Location: Springfield, IL
Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and RegistrationsLicensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. RNs in Wisconsin may practice with a valid multi‑state RN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Additional required certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred specialty certifications based on patient population:
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
