Registered Nurse
This position is for an emergency department registered nurse. The average daily census is 175. The emergency department has 56 beds. This role involves working every other weekend. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Candidates will not float outside their scope to meet facility needs. Block schedule requests may be accommodated upon discussion with management.
No specific radius restrictions for local candidates. It is preferred that candidates have charge experience.
Candidates must possess skills in managing dysrhythmias and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Proficiency in obtaining 12 lead EKGs is required. Candidates must also be skilled in blood product administration, starting IVs, and phlebotomy. Experience in managing continuous IV sedation and emergency medications is necessary. Clinicians must be able to handle cases involving stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.
Management of pediatric cases such as abdominal pain and respiratory infections is required. Skills in handling acute psychosis and managing violent behavior are necessary. Candidates must have the capability to perform chest tube insertion and intubation. Familiarity with triage and isolation precautions is expected. Experience with Cerner charting system is mandatory.
