We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and veterinary technicians while ensuring the safety of pets, clients and associates, and the continuity of quality veterinary care.

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, procedures and client interactions.
• Maintain patient flow and ensure the hospital is clean and organized.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards and state practice acts.
• Educate clients about preventive care and Banfield’s Optimum Wellness Plans.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform all required skills of NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids practice efficiency.
• Action‑oriented, customer‑focused, good listener, effective communicator, and caring for others.

Hourly rate: $15.99 – $20.44 based on experience, skills and education.
