Responsibilities- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions through registers to itemize and total purchases.
- Collect payment in cash, check, or credit and provide correct change with transaction receipt.
- Record daily transactions and balance drawer by counting money at the beginning and end of each shift.
- in and processing NICS firearm background checks.
- Assist with gun room housekeeping.
- Carry multiple gun boxes up and down stairs.
- Read,, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Demonstrate multitasking, organization, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. li>
- Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Promote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain all benefits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Complete basic mathematical equations.
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Assist with all other duties as assigned.
- Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales, including form 4473, licensing, and background checks, is completed accurately and thoroughly.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs as Word, Publisher, Excel, and Google Docs.
- Must have a valid FOID card.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and/or 1–3 months of cashiering experience.
Physical Requirements /Lifting RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
