Salary & Commission

$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Employees also earn commissions up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $5.60 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

• Best working hours: most stores open 9 AM–6 PM (closed on Sundays).

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pay N Cash/Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to deliver excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, working with a wide variety of items including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (where licensed), and more.

• Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, well‑stocked sales floor and display merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items following established policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using sound communication tools.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification where required.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the store or retrieve items from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview.
