Responsibilities:
- Assist in Men's, Women's and Youth shoe areas
- Prepare all necessary technology and devices prior to scheduled shift to ensure you are ready to begin at your scheduled time
- Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area
- Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
- Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
- Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
- Keep product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
- Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
- Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
- Ability to work independently and with the team
- Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
- Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser leads
- Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation for this position starts at $15.00 per hour. Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5p.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Friday (earlier hours may be available) and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. typical schedule will be every other weekend and 1-2 shifts during the week.
Average hours per week is 20 hours.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
- 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred
