Join our NAPA family as a Counter Sales Associate, the face of the retail store. This role is perfect for anyone looking to spend a career as a Parts Specialist, work full or part‑time, or explore other career paths within NAPA.
Responsibilities- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for our retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
- Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer questions for customers.
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into the NAPA store.
- Bring retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
- Use technology, including computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
- Maintain a customer‑focused, high‑energy environment in the fast‑paced store.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Love for fast‑paced retail environments.
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
- Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership is a bonus.
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision.
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
- ASE certifications are a plus.
