Delicatessen Shift Supervisor

The Delicatessen Shift Supervisor's responsibilities are to assist the Delicatessen Manager with running a profitable department including but not limited to ensuring customer service standards are being met, presentations are at expected levels, and safe food handling procedures are being followed while fostering a Niemann Harvest Market culture.

• Delivers superior guest service and ensures absolute customer satisfaction

• Day to day operational procedures to ensure stock level, inventory, and cleanliness

• Promotes and supports established programs
• Teaches, trains, and develops other Associates
• Assists in supervising and motivating the Deli team
• Follows all Health Code guidelines

• Assists with supervising Associates in the Deli Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

• Basic addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, division fractions and weights.

• Food Handler's Certification as required by State law provided at store level
