The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” In addition, Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).

$15–$17 per hour. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related factors. For sales positions, Buckle pays a base rate plus commission on sales.

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs.
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe experience.
• Demonstrate products using product knowledge and sales education, sharing that knowledge with the Team.
• Maintain current knowledge of sales, promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
• Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales, and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
• Provide legendary service throughout the store in the front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register areas.
• Help Guests try on or fit merchandise and check out and bag purchases.
• Prepare merchandise for alterations and handle exchange/return procedures.
• Fill out and use the Sales Presentation Guide daily.
• Meet or exceed performance standards in guest loyalty and business builders.
• Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
• Maintain good Guest relationships and develop a client‑based business.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of customer service expectations.
• Perform leadership actions and maintain high standards when managers are absent.

• Recruitment and training: recognize recruiting opportunities, create relationships, maintain professionalism, present merchandise effectively.
• Operations: flexible schedule, open/close registers, handle cash, prevent theft, follow loss prevention guidelines, maintain merchandise, provide store feedback.
• Maintain high standards of store appearance and safety, report violations, and support corporate policies.

No prior experience or training required.

The job requires standing, walking, lifting 30 lbs, climbing, and working in a moderate noise environment.
