Role Summary

The Leukemia & Transplant Oncology Account Manager is responsible for direct promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products and for developing and managing relationships with therapeutic specialists within an assigned geographical territory. The OAM is an integral part of the commercial team that includes all personnel dedicated to the sales and marketing functions. The OAM will implement Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ marketing strategies and marketing tactics to achieve sales goals through short-term and long-term objectives.

This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager. We welcome applications from senior-level candidates if Jazz determines there is sufficient business need.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic account management: understand customer needs, reimbursement landscape, and industry trends to inform the territory business plan; identify stakeholders; leverage dashboards, reports, and programs; gather insights and provide timely feedback to cross-functional partners and regional sales Manager; monitor performance and adjust plans as needed
  • Strategic Planning: define objectives aligned with company and customer goals; develop tailored strategies and tactics; determine resources; continuously review and adjust plans; implement customized account plans and collaborate with marketing, medical affairs and market access

    Collaboration:

    maintain an enterprise mindset; leverage cross-functional partnerships to advance business objectives; mobilize resources to meet customer and patient needs; share insights and best practices; lead as the main contact for designated accounts when appropriate
  • Selling Effectiveness: promote Jazz adult oncology products to physicians and healthcare providers; develop a network-selling approach; stay current on industry trends and clinical developments; adapt to new tools and analytics; establish relationships with key physicians, providers and organizations
  • Product and Scientific Knowledge: educate providers on Jazz products and indications; respond to questions in line with compliance guidelines; demonstrate high level clinical knowledge of diseases and Jazz product(s) and challenge prescribers when appropriate
  • Execution: organize and facilitate meetings and events; represent the company at conferences and educational events; utilize CRM to manage interactions and maintain territory records; maintain compliance with marketing policies; complete special projects; comply with regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
  • Required: Four-year college/university degree
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with effective presentation style in both in-person and virtual settings
  • Required: Ability to meet territorial travel requirements
  • Preferred: Post-graduate business school study or equivalent
  • Preferred: Minimum of 5 years in the oncology market
  • Preferred: Strong clinical, technical and scientific knowledge of product(s) and applicable disease states
  • Preferred: Strategic thinker capable of driving a strategic account business plan
  • Preferred: Strong key account management experience in complex academic and community accounts
  • Preferred: Demonstrated business acumen, problem solving, prioritization, analytics
  • Preferred: Collaboration and teamwork in cross-functional account management
  • Preferred: Results-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
  • Preferred: Experience with pediatric and young adult ALL and bone marrow transplant
