We’re looking for a motivated Sales/Account Representative to join our Millstadt, IL market and help expand our client base while maintaining strong relationships with current customers.
Role Overview:
As a Sales/Account Representative, you will focus on building and maintaining relationships with small to large customers within your designated territory to procure recyclable materials. This role involves both new business development and account management, with an entrepreneurial approach where you can treat your territory as your own business. We’re looking for a results-driven, self-motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Generate new business opportunities within your territory through cold calling, networking, and face-to-face meetings.
- Create proposals, follow up with accounts, and secure new business.
- Work with the sales team and management to identify new market opportunities and optimize pricing and service strategies.
- Manage existing accounts, ensuring high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate on sales strategies and contribute to long-term growth in the territory.
- Provide feedback on accounts, competitors, and industry trends.
- Maintain clear documentation and follow up on all customer interactions using our contact management system (Quickbase/Intuit or similar).
Ideal Candidate:
- Sales Experience:
Minimum 2 years of sales, customer service, or restaurant management experience (restaurant experience is highly valued). - Self-Starter:
Motivated, independent, and results-driven, with a proven track record in a fast-paced sales environment. - Strong Communicator:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual is a plus. - Organized and Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing time effectively and handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Problem Solver:
Creative and innovative, with the ability to provide solutions that drive profitability. - Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Excel, and CRM software (Quickbase/Intuit preferred). - Team Player:
Able to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to team goals while also working independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and manage company equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years in sales, customer service, or restaurant management.
- Technology:
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and CRM software. - Base Salary: $60,000 + quarterly performance-based bonuses
