Your day at NTT DATA

As a Senior Client Manager you will manage and grow relationships with our clients, driving land, expansion and renewals across all solutions within assigned accounts. You will take full ownership of these accounts, ensuring client satisfaction throughout their entire lifecycle. The role is about building lasting connections and identifying how our services can add real value. You will work closely with vendors, partners and internal stakeholders, using our sales tools and methodologies to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines and forecasts.

You will also engage in developing governance and compliance policies to manage risk and ensure financial governance within your area of specialization. This is a remote in‑territory opportunity with travel around 25–50%.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow relationships to drive land, expansion and renewals across all solutions within established accounts.
  • Acquire net new customers within assigned account base.
  • Pursue leads identified by aligned Lead Generation/Business Development representatives.
  • Minimize churn and maximize retention in assigned accounts.
  • Drive client satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle of the clients’ buying process.
  • Generate demand by assisting clients to identify current needs and effectively articulate how the company can add value through its services and solutions.
  • Influence and work closely with vendors/partners to achieve required results.
  • Use company sales tools and methodology to effectively manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines and forecast.
  • Develop open and effective communication channels with each client within the assigned account.
  • Encourage revenue growth by inspiring clients to additional services.
  • Become the reliable point of contact for clients to establish strong business relationships.
  • Take ownership of a range of accounts within the assigned segments.
  • Determine the best solution requirements for each client that can be deployed by other departments.
  • Build enduring relationships and display an understanding of the client industry, business environment and strategy to identify current and future opportunities for the organization.
  • Develop and/or align governance and compliance policies in own practice area to identify and manage risk exposure liability.
  • Monitor and control financial governance and compliance throughout an area of specialization to manage financial cost.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a sales‑related field.
  • Advanced experience in global partner management, sales environments, and customer service.
  • Advanced experience in the IT or professional services industry with a focus on business development and/or sales.
  • Advanced experience in driving alignment to a common vision and working across multiple stakeholders to achieve sales growth.
  • Advanced sales orientation with experience working with clients and business teams to create sales‑oriented solutions and services.
  • Advanced experience gained in a similar client manager role.
  • Advanced experience working with  contact platform.
  • Relevant vendor certifications would be advantageous.
  • Sales business acumen: the ability to plan, leverage tools and data, and focus on organizational and business outcome mindset.
  • Sales client engagement and management skills: detailed understanding of client needs, effective sales planning, building trust, and managing expectations.
  • Sales solution skills: knowledge of company offerings, client applications, use cases and market trends, and the skill to apply them to client scenarios.
  • Sales pursuit skills: ability to identify and advance opportunities at assigned prospects and clients, with accountability for coordinating internal and external resources to close sales opportunities.
